You can search Iona's collection of online encyclopedias in the Gale eBooks collection.

To access Gale eBooks go to the library's website and click on databases
Select Gale eBooks under "Popular Databases."
Enter words describing your topic in the "search" box.
Results will be book chapters or encyclopedia entries. Make sure the chapter you choose is from an encyclopedia and is described as a topic overview or a biography if you are researching a person.
