An embargo is a delay in online access to a journal (usually 3 - 18 months) imposed by the publisher for any of the following reasons:

To preserve the value of the advertising in the paper version of the journal
To charge premium prices for the newest content
To charge subscription fees for the content before it becomes open access

If Iona College Libraries does not have an embargo-free source for a title, please place a InterLibrary Loan request for the article.
