The SciFinder: CAS database allows you to draw reactions and perform a search from your drawing.

The column on the left of the search page is titled "Searching for" choose "Reactions." Click the "Draw" button. Draw a reaction scheme using one or more reactants, a reaction arrow, and a product structure.

Hints:

  • Concentrate your substructure search by using the locking tools, mapping atoms, and defining reaction sites.
  • Utilize pre-limits: solvent, steps, classification, year, etc.

Click OK. Click the magnifying glass to run a search.

Results are sorted by relevance.
